Syrah 2008

This wine is a blend from our estate vineyard in Santa Ynez and Black Oak vineyard in Los Alamos. We were only able to yield 4 ½ tons from the estate in 2008 so we picked 1 ½ tons from Black Oak which is a family owned property. The higher pH from Black Oak had the effect of softening the tannins of the wine. The estate grapes matured two weeks before Black Oak and went through primary fermentation seperately but were eventually blended so that they were aged together for eighteen months in 20% new French oak barrels.

Reeves Ranch 2008 Syrah is now being poured at the Terravant Wine Co. in the tasting room Avant Tapas and Wine. You can taste it from a self-serve dispensing machine and enjoy Tapas from the kitchen.

If you are visiting the Santa Ynez Valley please note Reeves Ranch Syrah is being poured at by the glass at Avant Tapas & Wine. Our 2008 Syrah is also on the Wine List at Matteis Tavern, Trattoria Grappolo,Hadsten House and Landmark Steak House in O.C.

You can pick up a bottle and take it home at El Rancho Market, Nielson's Market, Los Olivos Grocery and Vino Divino in Santa Barbara.
